In a shocking incident, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a man named Nuhu Ezra in Gosa, Lugbe, Abuja, for possessing human remains. According to SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the police command, Ezra was caught with a human skull and bones. He claimed that he found these remains in the bush while he was hunting.

The arrest was made possible thanks to an intelligence tip-off to the Iddo police division, which led to a swift operation by the police officers. During his interrogation, Ezra admitted that he intended to sell the human parts for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000). "Upon interrogation, the suspect stated that he picked them up from the bush while hunting and intended to sell them for six hundred thousand naira (N600,000)," the statement read.

This gruesome incident has caused widespread outrage and concern among citizens and netizens alike. People from neighboring Ghana have also reacted strongly to the news. Many Ghanaians took to social media to express their shock and dismay at this horrific discovery.

Kofi Owusu, a resident of Accra, commented on Facebook, "This is beyond horrific. How can someone even think of selling human parts? It's a sad day for humanity." Another user, Ama Serwaa, echoed similar sentiments on Twitter, saying, "The world is becoming a scarier place each day. Such acts are unthinkable and should be condemned in the strongest terms."

Ghanaian human rights activists have also voiced their concerns. Nana Yaa Mensah, a prominent advocate, called for stricter measures against such crimes. "This incident is a stark reminder of the dark underbelly of human exploitation. We must work towards eradicating such barbaric practices and ensure that justice is served swiftly," she remarked during a radio interview.

The arrest has also sparked a conversation about the possible underlying reasons for such acts. Some people believe that desperation and poverty might drive individuals to commit such heinous crimes. Others argue that it points to deeper societal issues that need urgent addressing.

In Nigeria, the police have assured the public of a thorough investigation into the matter. SP Josephine Adeh reiterated the police command's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents within the FCT. "We will leave no stone unturned in our investigation to ensure that those involved in such despicable acts are brought to justice," she stated.

This incident has highlighted the need for a closer look at the issues driving such crimes. Many are calling for better social support systems and stricter enforcement of laws against human exploitation. It is clear that addressing the root causes of such acts is crucial to preventing future occurrences.

As the investigation continues, the public remains watchful and hopeful that justice will be served. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the darker aspects of society that need urgent attention and action.
