Attacker Baba Yahaya of Asante Kotoko is hopeful that the team's preseason work will favor the 2024–2025 campaign.
The squad's most memorable preseason loss to date came in a 2-1 loss to Medeama during a friendly that coincided with the opening of the newly reconstructed TNA Sports Stadium.
The team is currently taking part in the GHALCA 2024 Tournament, and in their first match, they defeated Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0.
Yahaya stated that the team's expectations for the upcoming season cannot be too high while discussing their preparations.
Even though the preseason is still early, he said the current training sessions are promising.
"We are unable to set ourselves up for such lofty expectations. We are currently beginning the preseason, and our training is going really well.
"We are hoping that the preseason training we are receiving and the lessons our coaches are imparting to us will pay off in the upcoming campaign."
The Ghana Premier League season for Asante Kotoko will begin on the road against Karela United.
