UEFA STRIPS SAN SIRO OF HOSTING 2026/27 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

UEFA will reopen the bidding to host the 2027 men’s Champions League final after the match was taken away from the famous San Siro stadium in Milan, Italy.

European football’s governing body has gone back to the drawing board after authorities in the Italian city could not offer guarantees that refurbishment work at San Siro Stadium and the surrounding area would not affect the match,” according to Mirror.

The football body indicated in May that a decision on the 2027 final host was being postponed, subject to receiving the necessary guarantees around the San Siro refurbishment.

Now, a decision on a new host is expected in May or June next year.

“As the Municipality of Milano could not guarantee that the San Siro stadium and its surroundings would not be affected by refurbishment works in the period of the 2027 UEFA Champions League final, it was decided not to assign the final to Milan and to re-open the bidding process to appoint a suitable venue, with a decision expected in May/June 2025,” UEFA said in a statement.

Agreement has also been reached over UEFA’s solidarity funding, with Premier League clubs outside of European competition receiving a smaller slice over the next three seasons than under the previous agreement.

The last time San Siro hosted the Champions League final was in 2016, when Spanish giants Real Madrid edged city rivals Atletico in a penalty shootout.

It also hosted the final in 2001 between Bayern Munich and Valencia, which the Germans won via penalties.

Harry Kane stars in awkward advert for porridge brand

ENGLAND captain Harry Kane put his acting skills to the test in a hilarious new breakfast advert.

The 31-year-old recently agreed to become the face of 3Bears, a German-British porridge company based in Munich.

In his first campaign for the brand, which is shot like hit TV series The Office, he stars as the "new boy" at the firm.

The 90-second mockumentary advert features Kane as a confused colleague on his first day at the office.

He arrives at the 3Bears headquarters and introduces himself to co-owners Tim Nichols and Caroline Nichols.

The Bayern Munich star attempts to speak to baffled workers, but they do not respond.

Kane then puts a football-shaped mug on the table before asking: "So I guess breakfast is included?"

Discussing his new shareholder role with the company, England's all-time top goalscorer said: "As an athlete, breakfast is the most important meal for me, and of course, I’m really conscious of what I put in my body, as well as the bodies of my family.

"When I discovered 3Bears, I loved that they took oats to another level. 3Bears oats are the perfect choice to fuel the body, they're a great source of natural protein, fibre and complex carbs.

"And, all that with natural ingredients and no bad stuff added. So that’s why partnering with 3Bears feels like a natural fit."

Kane has been smashing records on the pitch since joining Bayern Munich last summer.

He became the quickest player to reach 50 Bundesliga goals earlier this month, hitting the target in just 35 appearances.

Kane broke the record previously set by Erling Haaland.

The striker has scored 54 goals in 51 outings since joining Bayern.

And he'll be back in Three Lions action next month when Lee Carsley's side take on Greece and Finland in the Nations League.
