Following a 1-1 tie with Berekum Chelsea, Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has expressed his happiness with his team's performance.

The Porcupine Warriors and Blues squared off in the Ghana Premier League's Week 4 matchup today.

Golden City Park hosted a game in which Asante Kotoko scored early and the hosts pulled even, forcing a tie.

In his post-game interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum gave his players credit for what he called a solid effort against a challenging opponent.

"I believe that the opportunities we created for the game helped our plan to succeed. We should have converted more often than we did. We scored a goal by attempting to play the balls behind their laterals. It seemed like a good game, and both sides played with a lot of intensity, as you mentioned. It was a good game,” Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum stated.

To please the supporters, the Kotoko coach further promised that the club would win more games in the next games.

The next game Asante Kotoko will play to complete their Week 2 schedule is a midweek matchup against Nsoatreman FC.

Paying members of the Black Stars Management Committee is necessary, but not $100,000. - Oti Akenteng

Francis Oti Akenteng, a former technical director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has called for a review of the awards handed to Black Stars Management Committee members.

He made these remarks when speaking before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Culture, and Tourism about a range of Ghanaian football-related topics.

Despite Ghana's early elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, reports suggest that each member of the Management Committee received $100,000 as a result of the country's participation in the event.

Oti Akenteng questioned the large payout, even though he agreed that members of the Management Committee should be paid for their services.

"If you look at some of their jobs, it's not horrible, but you can't pay everyone like we hear—I've heard—that certain members of the management committee took home $100,000 for their membership," the man stated.

"He is a member of the Black Stars Management Committee, but it's likely that he only attended one or two meetings. They should be paid for the work they do, but not to that degree," he continued.

The Black Stars were ousted in the first round of the World Cup after losing to Portugal and Uruguay despite winning their match against South Korea.
