Abdul Salam Yakubu, the new owner of Edubiase United, has pushed Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, Ghana's two most prestigious teams, to make investments if they want to see results.

The players that the two clubs have signed each season in the recent past have changed, albeit not significantly, from this past transfer window.

These two clubs have struggled to establish their dominance in the domestic arena, something they were able to do in the past, which has resulted in poor outcomes.

In Africa, Hearts of Oak is a well-known brand. Their benchmark ought to have been on par with Al Ahly's. Everything right now revolves around investment, Yakubu said to Asempa FM.

Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are two of the biggest clubs in Africa, although they haven't performed well in a long time. Football is an investment that will pay off.

Hearts of Oak has had a history of underwhelming results, especially in the Ghana Premier League.

Particularly difficult, the 2023–2024 season ended with a razor-thin escape from relegation.

Though they have been able to hold onto a more consistent position in the league than Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko has also had challenges in recent seasons.

The team has had trouble maintaining consistency in both performance and outcomes, which has made it more difficult for it to successfully contend for championships.

Pressure is on Black Stars to win six points in their doubleheader against Sudan.

There is pressure on Ghana's Black Stars to defeat Sudan in their back-to-back 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in October.

Ghana has to win both of their qualifications against Kwasi Appiah's team for several reasons.

Currently, with just one point from two games, the Black Stars are in third place in qualifying Group F.

Due to their current standing, the Black Stars are under a lot of pressure to defeat Sudan and earn as many points as possible to increase their chances of making it to the tournament, which will take place in Morocco.

In addition to increasing their point total, winning both games will improve team spirit as they attempt to bounce back from a rocky start.

On Friday, October 11, at an unnamed location in Ghana, the first leg of the qualifications will take place.

Since the four-time African champions could play their home game outside of the nation, Ghana must take advantage of this opportunity to boost fan support, which can have a big impact on the team's performance.

Gaining momentum before the road game just three days later depends on winning at home.
