Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Asante Kotoko, thinks that his team's confidence will increase going into their next game if they win back-to-back home games.

In their past two home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, the Porcupine Warriors defeated the Accra Lions and the defending champions FC Samartex 1-0.

In match week eight, Kotoko will now travel to the CAM Park in Anyinase to play Basake Holy Stars.

Ogum stressed the significance of the two wins in gaining momentum for his squad before the match.

After their encounter against Samartex, Ogum stated, "I think the players should have that confidence after winning back-to-back games at home."

"They have the support of their supporters." We are certain that we have the support of our fans. They will show up in large numbers to help us.

Therefore, we must have confidence in ourselves, maintain our composure, and play within the rules of the game.

With 14 points, the Porcupine Warriors are in second place in the league, one game behind the GoldStars, who have yet to lose this season.

Since taking office in March 2021, Motsepe has spearheaded a number of groundbreaking reforms and programs meant to increase African football's visibility around the world.

Due in large part to his dedication to institutional accountability and financial transparency inside CAF, the 61-year-old South African mining tycoon and industrialist has emerged as a key player in the governance of African football.

In response to appeals from several CAF Member Association Presidents, Zonal Union Presidents, and other important stakeholders, CAF confirmed that "CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe finally accepts to stand as Candidate for CAF Presidential Elections in March 2025."

With an emphasis on transparency, financial stability, and enhancing African football's standing internationally, Motsepe's leadership has spearheaded significant reforms.

Stronger governance procedures, increased revenue streams, and the development of grassroots talent throughout Africa have all been part of his initiatives.

His goal is for African teams and athletes to thrive so they may become strong competitors on the global scene.

Motsepe was able to steer CAF through difficult financial times during his first tenure, particularly when football organizations around the world struggled with the effects of COVID-19.

His re-election campaign prioritizes sustained growth, technical advancement, and strong infrastructure for African football, with financial stability serving as a pillar.

African football associations support his candidacy because they share his vision and want to see more international recognition and steady advancement in their national competitions.
