Ahead of the 2024 general elections scheduled for December 7, 2024, renowned dancehall artist Stonebwoy has revealed that he has been approached by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to perform at their campaign rally. During a recent interview on Hitz FM, Stonebwoy spoke candidly about the factors that will influence his decision to accept or decline the offer.

The musician clarified that although he had been contacted by the NDC, he had yet to engage directly with any official representatives from the party. He explained that the ongoing discussions were centered on one key aspect: the financial arrangements. Stonebwoy emphasized that his decision to perform would be contingent on agreeing to a satisfactory fee, highlighting that the financial aspect was a primary consideration before committing to any event.

Stonebwoy further elaborated that if the terms are right, he would be willing to perform at the rally. He mentioned that any earnings from the performance would likely be used to fund the BHIM Festival, a music event that he regularly organizes, underscoring his commitment to supporting his fans and the growth of the Ghanaian music scene. The BHIM Festival has become a major cultural event, and Stonebwoy’s focus on its continuation was evident in his comments.

Despite the political context, Stonebwoy made it clear that his involvement in any political rally would be about promoting peace. He reiterated that his performances, whether for the NDC or any other political party, would be rooted in his desire to contribute to a peaceful atmosphere during the election period. He stressed that his primary goal is to foster unity among Ghanaian's, regardless of political affiliations. In his own words, “We are all one Ghana,” and he firmly believes that peace should prevail in the lead-up to and following the elections.

Stonebwoy’s comments reflect a broader desire for stability in the country during a time of heightened political activity. He called for peaceful elections in December, emphasizing that regardless of whether he performs for the NPP, NDC, or any other party, his aim is to use his platform to advocate for peace. His closing message was clear: “Ghana first, Ghana must win in the end.” Stonebwoy’s stance highlights his commitment to national unity and peace in the face of political tensions as the elections draw near.
