Effutu MCE Calls for Unity Amid Post-Election Tensions
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Effutu in the Central Region has called for calm and unity between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following tensions that emerged after the recent elections.
Speaking to the media, the MCE emphasized the importance of peace and cooperation between the two major political parties in Effutu. He urged leaders of both parties to de-escalate any tensions and work together for the common good of the municipality.
"We all need to come together as one people with a common goal—to build a better future for Effutu," the MCE stated. He stressed that political rivalry should not overshadow the development needs of the people, urging both the NPP and NDC to put aside their differences and focus on progress.
The call comes after reports of growing political tensions in the municipality following the elections. While there have been isolated incidents of political unrest, the MCE is hopeful that both parties will put peace and unity first, helping to foster an environment where everyone, regardless of political affiliation, can thrive.
"We cannot afford to let politics divide us," he continued. "Effutu is a place of diversity and strength, and together we can achieve great things for our people."
The MCE also highlighted his administration’s commitment to working with all stakeholders, irrespective of party lines, to ensure that Effutu continues to grow and develop in the coming years. He assured residents that the local government would prioritize key developmental projects, including infrastructure, education, and healthcare, to improve the quality of life for all.
As the MCE’s call for unity resonates, it remains to be seen how both political parties will respond. However, the hope is that Effutu can rise above the current challenges and emerge stronger, with a renewed sense of collaboration and solidarity.
