Chief Justice Nkuuku Blay has finally signed a contract extension for the porcupine warriors Kumasi Asante Kotoko and this one runs up through to the end of the 2026 football season. May wanted him to stay, while few thought he had done his honest part and it was time to go. His position would have been void and difficult to replace if he had left and replaced would have been very difficult. Blay in an interview after his extension showed his appreciation to the porcupine family for the love trust and unwavering support they have always given him. The big truth is that he is now the most loved. One bug reason why he didn't go is that he really knows that the team needs him and would not like to go leaving space, I the middle of the season where it would be hard to find a replacement. There's now some peace of mind for everyone to thrive in.
Maintenance of our sports facilities, especially the pitches continue to be a challenge in this part of the world. Most facilities in the country have seen poor maintenance of the pitch and the recently opened Tarkwa TnA Stadium is the latest victim. The first picture was taken in the early days when the Tarkwa TnA Stadium was commissioned. The next pictures were taken only yesterday when Medeama played vs Karela FC to clear their outstanding match. The initial green and smooth Tarkwa TnA pitch that got everyone mesmerized is currently nearing a reddish state. This seemingly negligence and inadequate care of the pitch is just too quick for a Stadium that was only commissioned on August 16, 2024.Do not blame the harmattan, blame the lack of proper care. The Stadium will host Medeama Sporting Club vs Asante Kotoko Sporting Club in the Match day 16 action of the GPL on Sunday. It is going to be sad to see that venue go bed in just some few years.
