Morocco and Spain Plan €6 Billion Tunnel to Link Africa and Europe
Morocco and Spain have unveiled plans for a groundbreaking infrastructure project: a tunnel beneath the Strait of Gibraltar to physically connect Africa and Europe. Estimated to cost €6 billion, the tunnel will stretch 38.5 kilometers (23.9 miles), with 28 kilometers (17.4 miles) running underwater at depths between 175 meters (574 feet) and 475 meters (1,558 feet).
