In a candid interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen, she revealed how she battled septic shock—a life-threatening condition that nearly led to multiple organ failure—while enduring mistreatment that left her hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Her story took a sharp turn as she called out the NPP for what she described as hypocritical behavior. Jantuah expressed frustration over the party’s vocal dismay when their members faced home raids or detentions by security operatives, accusing them of staying silent when others suffered similar fates under their watch. “It’s infuriating to hear NPP folks complain about National Security storming their homes and suggesting they arm themselves,” she said. “Where was their outrage when it happened to others? They should count themselves fortunate to be released within a day—some of us were dragged through this nightmare for three long years.”
Recalling the humiliating treatment she endured, Jantuah painted a grim picture of her encounter with security officials. “They saw me in agony and just laughed,” she said. “They mocked me, saying I couldn’t explain myself properly. It wasn’t until today that my doctor fully broke it down for me: I had septic shock.” The condition, she explained, had pushed her body to the brink, with only her heart holding strong while other organs faltered.
Jantuah didn’t hold back in her criticism of the NPP, stressing that no one should be deemed less human based on political allegiance. “The NPP shouldn’t act like they’re above anyone else,” she asserted. “I’ve been through hell under their National Security reign—confirmed by my doctor’s diagnosis of septic shock and failing organs. It’s a miracle I’m still here.”
