I really dnt know about you but I belong to that school of thought that says age is just a number when it comes to having a relationship with the opposite sex. But in this African society and especially the Ghanaian society that I find myself in, they would slaughter me if I am found sharing my opinion especially in my family! But really! Wat is it about age in a relationship that gets the typical elder African so agitated that it’s a no-no topic to be discussed?
Lol I wonder if it is because that’s how it’s supposed to be. But wait a minute! Wasn’t that what our forefathers were doing? So why cnt we do same if we claim this is the 21st century?
I think many people are of the view that, there wnt be the respect required if the partner say, the woman is much younger than the man or there is even this notion that the woman is a gold digger especially if the man is very rich which is usually the case.
But have you for once thought that there may be genuine love regardless the age. Will the age guarantee that the relationship would last? I hope you dnt think so because there’s really no formula to this relationship thing oo..it is luck and maturity other than that I dnt know loves!
All the best to the people who at one point in time met people younger or older than you and who would have taken good care of you but because of societal pressure you let them go and you are suffering lol(Masa go and take them back oo)
You want my advice? If he/she makes you happy, please follow your heart and forget about society. After all, isn’t that the ultimate? To be happy in life without any worry.
