In an exclusive interview with Mpanin Atenase Show, a woman from Asante-Akyem explains why she has been unable to enter into any relationship after being divorced for three years.
After they married, the woman stated that she went to dwell with her husband, Yaw, in Goaso. The couple was able to secure property on which to establish their cocoa farm.
Months later, the man's relatives told them they couldn't go back to the farm since it belonged to the family. They acquired additional acreage on which to establish a tomato farm and a palm tree plantation.
Following the harvest, the couple utilized the proceeds from the farm to purchase land and construct nine rooms on it. They also put aside GHC25,000 in the bank, and the two of them agreed to use the money to construct a multi-story skyscraper.
Due to the death of her father-in-law, the woman and her husband chose to focus on the burial rites before continuing with the construction. According to the woman, her husband changed when his father died; he used to sleep with numerous women and no longer gives her money. The man went to his homeland one day but did not leave her any money so she could prepare supper for him when he returned.
He returned home at midnight to discover no food in the house, which enraged him, and they began arguing about it. Her husband chewed off her lips, causing her to bleed, and the woman retaliated by biting her Yaw's chest. After the altercation, she raced to the hospital for treatment, where the doctors advised her to file a police report, which she refused because she still loved her husband. She didn't return to her husband's residence after the therapy, preferring instead to visit her homeland.
Yaw was contacted by the woman's family on multiple occasions to resolve the matter, but he did not respond to any of them. Her mother-in-law informed her a few days later that her son had become pregnant by another woman and that the two of them should divorce so that he could marry that woman. Yaw married the woman who is pregnant for him two weeks after the divorce, and they moved into the house they had worked so hard to build.
Her ex-husband cursed her, saying that if she slept with another man or dated another man, she would die. The woman confessed that they had been divorced for three years, despite the fact that numerous guys had proposed to her, but she couldn't accept any of them due to the curse. She is scared that if she goes forward and enters into a relationship, it will have an effect on her.
