WHO WAS THE LONELIEST PERSON IN RECORDED HISTORY? THIS IS WHY.

He never married and had no children.

When it came to science, Nikola Tesla was an outlier. As a genius, he was alone in his accomplishments.

Rather than connect with others, he claimed to keep his thoughts private in order to prevent them from being stolen, and as a result, he avoided social situations.  In spite of his vows of celibacy, he had an extraordinary love affair with a pigeon. He remarked, "I loved that pigeon as a man would love a woman, and she loved me." He practised celibacy.

To be married was something he detested.

The inventor of the Tesla Motor was once quoted as saying, "I don't believe you can list many brilliant innovations that have been developed by married men".

He died at the age of 85 destitute and alone. Despite his solitary life and the impressive number of patents, Nikola Tesla was, as previously said, an absolute genius.

Here is perhaps his most famous view about loneliness.

“The mind is sharper and keener in seclusion and uninterrupted solitude. Originality thrives in seclusion free of outside influences beating upon us to cripple the creative mind. Be alone-that is the secret of invention: be alone, that is when ideas are born”. Nikola Tesla

He was the only one in his hotel room when he passed away.
