DELOITTE GHANA UNDERTAKES TREE PLANTING EXERCISE AT DODOWA

Deloitte Ghana, an accounting and auditing business, has stated its commitment to positively influence the society in which it operates through community involvement programs.

 

On Friday, June 10th, 2022, the firm's management and workers participated in a tree-planting event in Dodowa in the Greater Accra area as part of the 'Green Ghana Day.'

 

 

 

Deloitte Ghana is committed to impacting society through community initiatives such as the Deloitte Graduate Academy, where graduates are recruited and trained to acquire on-the-job skills to efficiently and effectively practice in any accounting, finance, and auditing firm as well as any corporate institution, according to Managing Partner Daniel Kwadwo Owusu.

 

 

 

At Dodowa, Deloitte Ghana launches a tree-planting project.

 

"Our [75th] anniversary celebration is aimed at our employees, alumni, clients, and society.   Making an impact is important to us. We have the World Climate Program, which is our approach to assist mitigate the effects of climate change on our environment on a global scale."

 

 

 

Mr. Owusu explained, "We believed it was prudent to cooperate with the Forestry Commission to carry out our World Class program during the Ghana Green Day Celebration."

The Managing Partner stated that the initiative will improve the company's brand image, adding, "It will make society know we are driven by purpose beyond profit."

 

 

 

As part of the Deloitte WorldClass Programme, Deloitte is contemplating repairing and refilling over seven libraries around the country.

According to the Managing Partner, his company is collaborating with a non-governmental organization to restore and resupply seven libraries around the country.

 

 

 

This is in keeping with the company's global effort to make a difference in the world.

 

 

 

 

 

"We feel that education is a critical instrument for bridging the wealth divide in society. This program also contributes to the achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
