Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) and Absa Bank Ghana have formalised their collaboration to help Ghanaian commercial companies with knowledge and training in digital technology. By co-creating and cultivating the next generation of innovative entrepreneurs in Ghana and across the continent, the aim is to open up new opportunities.

The collaboration would also give MEST and Absa opportunities to enable entrepreneurs to jointly address the nation's insurmountable business problems.

In comparison to a few years ago, the world has changed. The pandemic's devastation, as well as its aftermath and rebirth, have caused things to move more quickly than would often be expected. Any company functioning in these times may understand the difficulties, including supply chain problems, human resource Regulation, business environment change, and competitiveness. Therefore, the relationship between Absa and MEST will be beneficial for companies looking to thrive in the present environment.

The two groups urged companies and entrepreneurs to use technology and digitalisation for sustainable growth at a preliminary engagement session last week titled "Absa-MEST Connects Series."

Grace Anim-Yeboah, Director of Business Banking at Absa Bank Ghana, stated:

"This relationship is historic and significant for a variety of reasons, including opening up new job prospects for young people, giving funding for initiatives, empowering emerging businesses economically, and creating the next-generation solutions for the digital ecosystem. Absa is pleased to once again be paving the route for success and progress as we build a solid foundation for it. On behalf of MEST, the director of programmes, Femi Adewumi, expressed delight and sincere gratitude for the collaboration, noting that it "aligns with MEST's strategic goal of equipping the continent's most promising entrepreneurs with the skills required to launch and scale globally successful companies. The countless businesses that will gain from our cooperation are ones that we look forward to influencing.
