LUCY QUIST UNVEILED AS 7TH VLISCO BRAND AMBASSADOR

The 7th Vlisco Brand Ambassador for the year 2022 has been announced as Lucy Quist, author of the Bold New Normal and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in the UK.

 

Madam Yawa Hansen-Quao, who held the position the previous year, is replaced by her.

 

 

 

The goal of the textile company's programme is to empower customers and bring about constructive social change by utilising powerful women in society.

 

 

 

The selection of Lucy couldn't have come at a better moment, according to Fatoumata Doro, managing director for Vlisco Ghana, who also told journalists that the world is evolving toward smart working and the use of science and technology.

The Vlisco Brand Ambassador for this year is once again a remarkable lady who has distinguished herself in the STEM sector and is recognised on several platforms as a role model on a local and global level.

 

 

Lucy is unquestionably the ideal representative of the values that the Vlisco brand stands for—Respect, Empower, Engage, and Inspire—because she is the author of the Bold New Normal, a book that challenges young people's perspectives on nation-building and innovation.

 

"Lucy is a trailblazer, a leader among women, stylish, and motivational. She is our ambassador and represents a queen, a change-maker, an inspirational leader, and someone who will assist project themes of equality and diversity, Fatoumata Doro said.

 

Lucy will work with Vlisco to mentor selected women, including workers, throughout her one-year term as a brand ambassador. Vlisco Ghana will also donate 5,000 Euros to Lucy's chosen charity, and she will use her influence to raise awareness of it.

 

 

Her responsibilities as an ambassador include representing the Vlisco brand at significant events, assisting with promotional initiatives that align with the business's principles, and working on several internet programmes that promote women's empowerment and brand growth.

 

She will also provide the business with diversity plan advice, which calls for a 40 percent female workforce by 2025.

 

 

 

Lucy Quist expressed her delight at the occasion and pledged to uphold the reputation of the company and make Ghanaian goods stand out.

 

"The brand personality of Vlisco is consistent with my principles of honesty and creativity. It is a privilege to join the group of brand ambassadors that includes Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan, Eugenia Tachie-Menson, Elizabeth Akua Nyarko Patterson, Regina Honu, Edith Uyovbukerhi, and Yawa Hansen-Quao, who I am replacing. Being acknowledged for the work we do and the values we uphold as women is thrilling. I'm excited to use my knowledge to influence this country's future under the Vlisco brand, she remarked.
