Antonio Conte returns to Chelsea on Sunday with a Tottenham side poised for success.

Although a repeat of the Premier League title with west London club Spurs could be very difficult given the standards set by Manchester City and Liverpool, Conte's side is expected to be fighting for the top of the league after them.

Last season the position belonged to Chelsea, although so much has changed for Thomas Tuchel since then.

Despite spending a fortune this summer, the Blues have struggled to impress at Everton as many of the problems that tarnished their title bid last season resurface.

With the London derby in the early stages of the campaign, it will be interesting to see which of the capital's two partners can make an early statement in the battle for No. 1 in town.

Here's everything you need to know about the game.

Date, start time, and location

Premier League fixtures are scheduled to kick off at 16:30 CET on Sunday 14 August 2022.

The host is Stamford Bridge in London.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Squad News

Tuchel is likely to stick with the same team that beat Everton, although Marc Cucurella could make his full debut in place of Ben Chilwell, who is still recovering from a long-term injury.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is unlikely to be included as he was almost left out.

For Spurs, Ivan Perisic could make his debut at left-back while Richarlison is no longer suspended. However, given Dejan Kulusevski's form, the Brazilian is likely to start off the bench.

Chelsea vs Tottenham Prediction

It feels like Chelsea hasn't looked convincing for a long time, while Spurs are in an uptrend.

Having been beaten by the Blues four times last season, this seemed like the perfect time for revenge.
