Joseph Gamor, better known by his stage name Lyrical Joe, has released his first album.
After years of providing music fans with singles, mixtapes, and EPs, the most recent album was released yesterday, March 17, at the 2MG office in East Legon, Accra. The recipient of the Best Rap Performance award at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards creates mental images of memories from his life for the song "Photo Album."
At the launch, he stated, "Photo Album paints a vivid image of everywhere he has been and everything he has experienced, including the bad, the worse, and the best of his life."
The album features the songs "Two Eagles," "Hustle & Ambition," "Me to me," "See Size," "Judas," "Hmmhm," "Flex," and "Amen."
The remaining names include "Street Prophets," "A Gate," "ABCD," "Blessed," "Cover," and "Self." Efya, EL, Medikal, Darkovibes, Sefa, and AQ appear on the album's 15 tracks.
The project was worked on by some of Ghana's best music producers, including Mix Master Garzy, ATown, 2Bars, Konfem, Sosawavegod, SoundIt, Phredxter, and JuiczXxx.
Okra Tsutsu was in charge of producing the photo album, and Mix Master Garzy and Atown T58 mixed and mastered all of the songs.
Lyrical Joe's "Photo Album" can be streamed on all digital music services, including Boomplay, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Youtube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, and Pandora.
Lyrical Joe grew up listening to the likes of Lil Wayne, Eminem, Nas, Jay Z, and other great musicians and this nurtured him into a versatile rapper.
He has worked with industry players such as Gemini, Flowking Stone, Guru, Tinny, Kojo Bentil, Yaa Pono, etc and has also worked with engineers like Masta Garzy, Ball J, Killbeatz, Phredxter, De Thompson and Fortune Dane. Lyrical joe is really one of the best rappers in Ghana as now. His music is being enjoyed not only by Ghanaians but also outsiders.
