After their 1-0 loss to Great Olympics, the Serbian has not been in the dugout.

Due to their losing streak, Matic was unable to train with the playing group before their Super Clash match against Asante Kotoko.

David Ocloo, an assistant coach, was in the dugout for the team's two matches against Kotoko and Bibiani Gold Stars.

Herman Hesse said that Slavko Matics' future would soon be decided by the club's senior management and the fans front in an interview with Citi Sports.

"At the present, Zlavko Matic has become a concern for the administration and the Board of the Club," he stated.

"Because it is a contractual matter, we at the supporter level are patiently awaiting communication from the Board and Management.

"I am confident that the Board is well aware of the situation and that they will shortly inform the National Chapters Committee and the public.

"I wouldn't have much to say about it, but I know for a fact that Assistant Coach David Ocloo will still remain with the club until the Board sorts the problems or whatever it is with the Coach [Zlavko Matic], until either he Zlavko comes back or another Coach is chosen," he continued. On Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak will take on Kotoku Royals as part of matchday 22 of the current 2022–23 Ghana Premier League.
