NDC IS RESPECTING THE NPP TOO MUCH, JOSEPH YAMIN COMPLAINS

According to Joseph Yamin, the National Organizer of the Opposition (NDC), his party is allowing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration too much leeway to ride roughshod over the NDC.

He believes that the NPP is full of losers who are not smarter than the NDC in any way.

The former deputy minister for youth and sports is taken aback by how little opposition the NPP receives when necessary.

He feels that the NDC has sufficiently supported the NPP, but they always come back with something negative.

He mentions occasions when influential NDC members have supported Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu in his campaign for election as party leader by being kind to him in times of need. participate in the primaries, but will an NDC member receive the same in return?

"Are they smarter than the NDC members among us? The speaker of the house, Mr. Bagbin, and Hon. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu are close friends, and when I was regional secretary, we had problems with the speaker of the house, who was then the majority leader, traveling all the way from Accra into Kyei-Mensah-constituency Bonsu's when the NPP was trying to get him out. Hon. Mutaka left his constituency in Asawase and went to campaign for Kye

He pondered, "Now Kyei-Mensah is against the very guy (the speaker) who could put friendship above politics and come in there and sit with NPP delegates to vote for him because he is his buddy.

Yet when it came to Bagbin becoming the Speaker, Kyei-Mensah was the first to reject his Speakership to the extent that they were prepared to fight him in court. This is because the NPP understands that without their MPs, some choices they want to force through may not get there. Is Bagbin more human than Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu? Therefore, he said, "Now, if it comes to him, he will say that we abandoned our party line because he is my buddy." We won't permit it.

"They never seem to appreciate it when we step up for them." When the NPP won't reciprocate with us, we show them much too much respect. "When these folks are nobody, it is enough," he declared.

When it counts most, he says, "The NPP person would always sacrifice, and the NDC guy, I don't see why we can't do the same to them."
