Dr. Frederic Mac-Palm, the man allegedly responsible for planning an alleged coup, has reportedly passed away. The medical practitioner fell at his house on Saturday, according to sources who spoke to the Daily Graphic, and was sent to a hospital in Dodowa, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Trial
Dr. Mac-Palm was one of ten individuals on trial for high treason by a three-person Accra High Court bench.
The other defendants are Dr. Benjamin Agordzo, assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Colonel Samuel Kodzo Gameli, fleet manager Bright Alan Debrah Ofosu, civilian employee of the Ghanaian armed forces Johannes Zikpi, and Donya Kafui, alias Ezor (a blacksmith).
The remaining individuals are all members of the armed forces: Corporal Seidu Abubakar, Lance Corporal Ali Solomon, Corporal Sylvester Akanpewon, and Warrant Officer II Esther Saan Dekuwine.
The defendants are in court for allegedly participating in the operations of Take Action Ghana (TAG), a non-governmental organization that the prosecution claims is plotting to cause instability in the nation so that it may seize power.

Dr. Mac-Palm had begun his defense and was giving his own testimony.
At the court hearing tomorrow (Monday, March 27, 2023), he was anticipated to be cross-examined by the attorneys for the second accused individual.
An accusation's case
The 10 have been charged with belonging to a non-governmental organization (NGO) called TAG that was allegedly planning to stage protests against the government and "potentially overthrow it," according to the prosecution.
It is also the case of the prosecution that a map discovered in the possession of the accused individuals showed some significant state installations that it had targeted, including Jubilee House, the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Burma Camp, the 37 Military Hospital, and the National Police Training School.
