The Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra has hosted the eighth World Business Quality Brands Award 2022 ceremony.
Amer Al Alawi, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Maher Kheir, the ambassador of Lebanon to Ghana, Eliphas M. Barine, the high commissioner of Kenya to Ghana, and Jean Noel Blanc, the economic counsellor at the French embassy in Ghana, were among those who attended the event.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana was in charge of planning the event (EFG).
The promotion of international heritage brands, the most well-liked premium quality products, and the best-selling quality brands in Ghana were the main goals of the event, which was organised as part of Ghana's 66th anniversary celebration.
"Celebrating top grade global brands in Ghana" was the event's theme.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Barine urged the Ghanaian business sector to use the continent's single market toorder to expand intra-African commerce.
Moreover, he exhorted companies to adopt climate-smart practices in their operations to orderorder to prosper and establish themselves as competitive, long-lasting brands.
Mr Barine praised the winners for using creativity and a firm commitment to quality standards to create enduring worldwide brands.
Awardees
Er, Nikkesh Neel, the managing director (MD) of Lambodra Enterprise Ltd, was named the Young CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the Year 2022, while Charles Antwi-Boahen, the founder and CEO of Kab-Fam Ghana Ltd, was awarded the Business Executive of the Year 2022.
Pankaj Bhati, the managing director of AlphaTND, was named the Outstanding Managing Director of the Year 2022.
Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), was named the Outstanding Female Public Sector CEO of the Year 2022. Jane Reason Akushika Ahadzie received the award for Outstanding Female CEO of the Year 2022, and Kwasi Agyeman Busia, CEO of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, was named the Outstanding CEO of the Year 2022.
Gopal Vasu, the managing director of M&G Pharmaceuticals, thanked the jury for choosing his firm as the Premium Quality Pharmaceutical Brand of the Year 2022 and pledged to continue developing high-quality goods to protect Ghanaians' health.
