Right Reverend Dr. Gordon Kisseih, the first vice-president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), has reaffirmed that the Council will not alter its stance on homosexuality, even in the face of crises.
He was adamant that the Council opposed LGBTQI behaviours in Ghana and would not in any manner support them.
He assured them that they would continue to act on faith because they knew that God, in whom they had confidence, would see them through any difficulty.
"We will not reject our God in the midst of disaster because we are not neutral, we are not uncertain, we know our Redeemer lives and we know that he possesses the powers of the world."
The house is where families are nourished, and the family is the fundamental unit of existence. It is important to emphasise that any attempt to alter what constitutes a man, woman, boy, or girl, or marriage, will be an assault on the family.
recent president
Rt. Rev. Dr. Kisseih made this statement during a ceremony to inaugurate Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye as the new President of the GPCC. Nyamekye is the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost.
Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, President of the Apostolic Church in Ghana, was appointed to the position of Second Vice President of the Council.
A goodbye service was performed at the same event for the departing GPCC President, Reverend Professor Frimpong Manso, in recognition of his devoted service to the Council and the nation. Members of the GPCC's National Executive Council (NEC), representatives from the Ga Mantse, a few Members of Parliament, Ministers of State, and members of the clergy were among the notable individuals who attended the ceremony.
desire for God
Mr. Kisseih emphasised the value of unity and urged the members to live in peace in light of the Council's mandate.
According to him, Christians should desire for God, hunger for righteousness, and stand out for their beliefs wherever they are.
"Let's promote togetherness and learn to be each other's keeper. Let us desire and hunger after God while standing out for the faith.
"God will absolutely arrive when our churches come together and the members fix their hearts on the Ultimate Target to hunger after righteousness. In a prayer for the Council, the First Vice-President of the GPCC requested God's blessings on their life.
