According to Rachel Appoh, a former member of parliament for Gomoa Central, Bryan Acheampong's assertion that the New Patriotic Party administration will not cede power to the National Democratic Congress regardless of the results of the 2024 elections is "unfortunate, foolish, and irresponsible."
The comment, which Rachel Appoh believes is unworthy of a member of parliament and an ex-military commander, has her in a frenzy.
In an interview with GhanaWeb, she issued a warning that the NPP should revise any evil plans because the NDC is ready to confront them.
She claimed that NDC members will go to any lengths to defend Ghana's democracy and the 1992 constitution, which has served the nation well since it was enacted.
According to Rachel Appoh, Bryan Acheampong's remark serves as an example of how deeply corrupt NPP members' minds are.
"Bryan Acheampong made a regrettable and careless comment. To prevent this hollow threat from reaching us, let me first say that some of us are willing to risk our lives to protect Ghana's democracy.
"They should be aware that we will confront them head-on when they make these threats." The NDC would fend off any NPP onslaught during the elections in 2024. They do not have more males than we do.
The fact that Bryan Acheampong, of all people, is making this claim truly surprises me.
"The Bryan I know would never say something like this. "He is a skilled soldier, so I'm amazed he would make such a careless claim," she remarked.

According to Bryan Acheampong, the ruling New Patriotic Party would use all of its resources to win the general elections in 2024.
He claims that because the NPP is not prepared to cede power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), his party would be well-prepared for the election.
He said that the NPP has the personnel to compete head-to-head with the opposition in the elections of 2024.
On April 8, 2023, Bryan Acheampong addressed party supporters during a health walk through the main streets of Mpraeso. He stressed that "if the NDC tries to frighten us, bother us, or do anything stupid during the 2024 elections, we'll prove to them that we have the men to handle it. We won't transfer power to the NDC; it won't happen. "All measures necessary will be used to keep NPP in power."
