In honor of his birthday, Nii Noi Nortey, a former constituency chairman and prospective member of parliament for the Klottey Korley seat, has given children at Mantse Taki Memorial Primary School uniforms and other educational supplies.
150 school uniforms, 200 pencils, 200 pens, books, a math set, refreshments, and many more supplies are provided for the students.
In order to inspire and support the teachers, the amiable and dynamic politician also relocated to the Nii AMUGI cluster of schools and gave freezers for the teachers' common area, water, and GHC 5,000 to the circuit teachers' welfare fund.
The gifts, according to Nii Noi Nortey, were made to help the constituency's students obtain a high-quality education and to honor his birthday.
He urged the pupils to treat their schoolwork seriously and to exercise discipline in carrying out their obligations.
As our future leaders, "I will encourage all of you to take your studies more seriously and be disciplined," he stated.
He also promised to help them whenever they needed it.
On behalf of the schools, the supplies were accepted by Mrs. Joyce Osae-Appenteng, the municipality's director of education.
She commended Nii Noi Nortey and his foundation for their dedication to enhancing the quality of education in the constituency and for paying special attention to the needs of the kids, stating that "the gesture will go a long way to enhance teaching and learning in the school."
She promised that the resources would be used for their original purpose and charged the head teachers of the schools with making effective use of the materials for the benefit of the kids.
She also urged other interested parties to help them overcome their problems.
Samuel Oquaye, the chairman of the Nii Noi Nortey Foundation's education assistance committee, added that the decision to fund the local schools is a part of his efforts to improve Klottey Korley for the residents.
"I firmly believe that every member should benefit from this program, regardless of our differences in opinion, in order to empower every member. The Nii Noi Nortey Foundation totally funded this program to help its supporters.
