When the National Democratic Congress takes office, a special advisor to former president John Mahama says Ghanaians shouldn't have a higher standard for accountability than they have for the current administration.

According to Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Ghanaians should concentrate on the shortcomings of the current administration and hold them accountable rather than scrutinizing what the previous president says when running for office.

"In no way should we set higher standards for the National Democratic Congress." I'm confident that what has to be done is to put the NPP to the test in regards to all of the crucial areas where they made promises upon taking power.

"The worst part is that they promised to better manage, but they have literally run aground." On corruption, media freedoms or press freedom, employment of people without any discrimination, access, building a better economy, managing our health institutions, providing roads, water, and electricity—all the things that you and I desire She declared on JoyNews' PM Express that the nation is presently insolvent.

She was responding to John Mahama's declaration that his administration would enlist the children and young party members into the security forces when addressing party supporters in the Northern Region.

"Our staff, the kids of our branch executives, and you simply watch." If any jobs are distributed, all of our young people will be recruited to go to work if we are recruiting people for the army, the jail service, the fire service, the immigration service, and the police, he added.

John Mahama's statement, according to Joyce Mogtari, who defended the former president's remarks, was only a response to the political attitude of the security forces under the Akufo-Addo administration.

She said that although members of the NPP's Delta Forces are being recruited and promoted in the security services, people who were recruited into the same services during the previous Mahama government have either been laid off or denied advancement.

She asserts that although the NDC lacks a vigilante force such as the NPP's Delta Forces, it is acceptable for the former president to indicate that his administration will use competent people devoted to the security services.

"What is beneficial to the goose is beneficial to the gander." If the NDC candidates are qualified, keep in mind that the NDC has no Contrary to the Delta troops of the New Patriotic Party, there is no record of any such individual belonging to any sort of militia, whether regular or irregular.

"Look, we need to be completely honest; take off all of our hats, and let's talk to authority about the truth. Our security is at an all-time low, morale is at an all-time low, and promotions are awful and politicized, she added.
