Liverpool have set the bar for their rivals this summer, having completed their first signing for what appeared to be a bargain price.
Alexis Mac Allister becomes the club's first new addition as Jürgen Klopp begins rebuilding after a disappointing season, and with reports suggesting fees as low as $44m (£35m) /41 million euros), according to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils may have completed a summer deal.
But the job is far from done and more additions will be expected in the coming weeks as Klopp and new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke embark on a squad refresh.
And while fans are sure to watch with gusto throughout the summer, they'll also be keeping an eye on what's happening elsewhere. The latest reports suggest a player once loved by Liverpool could be leaving again, while Aston Villa may be looking to sign a player Manchester United have let go of.
Here, Liverpool.com analyzes other top teams from the Premier League and across Europe to see what's happening at other clubs.
Sadio Mané on the transfer list of Bayern Munich
According to reports in Germany, Sadio Mané has been included in Bayern Munich's seven-man transfer list this summer.
Mane has been in Munich for less than a year after leaving Liverpool last summer, but there have been speculations that he may be leaving the Allianz Arena. The Senegal international has not been in the form of his days at Anfield, while a altercation in the dressing room with team-mate Leroy Sané saw him suspended by the club earlier this year. According to German newspaper Bild, Thomas Tuchel has now put Mané on the list of players available for transfer. The list also includes Sané and Serge Gnabry, as well as Bouna Sarr, Alexander Nübel, Marcel Sabitzer and Benjamin Pavard.
Liverpool.com says:
Things are definitely not going well for Mané in Germany. A move to Bayern should have been a perfect fit for him and guaranteed success, but as the club win another Bundesliga title, it's certainly not a happy place at the moment.
Mane proves once again that players should think twice before leaving Liverpool. How many times have we seen players choose to leave Anfield over the years and struggle elsewhere? It's almost as if Jürgen Klopp is one of the best coaches around...
Aston Villa 'put a price' on Pau Torres
Aston Villa are said to have made an offer for Pau Torres, a year after Manchester United missed the chance to sign the Villarreal defender.
Torres has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years, and it appears he was closer to a move to Old Trafford last year, only because Erik ten Hag vetoed him on the deal at place.
