The NDC Campaign Team for the 2019 general elections has finally been formed, and it includes Honourable Haruna Lddrisu of Tamale South and Asawase, as well as Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak. Notably absent from the National Campaign Team that was named a week ago were the two prominent figures from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). The sudden decision to not include them in the squad prompted many to believe that party leader John Dramani Mahama was behind the decision. However, with crucial positions on the campaign squad, the productive duo will have the opportunity to put their immense knowledge to use.
Officials from the main opposition party's National Zongo Caucus Wing have been announced. The leadership of various committees and directorates' is located in this wing. Collins Dauda, a member of the Asutifi South MP constituency; Muntaka Mubarak; and Haruna Lddrisu, a former minority chief whip, are all named to the working committee that will be presided over by Alhaji Said Sinare, the NDC's immediate previous national vice chairman. Alhaji Mohammed Mamah, coordinator of the National Zongo Caucus, made the major announcement in a statement. According to the announcement, the selections were agreed upon by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) after thorough consultations with numerous important party stakeholders.
The National Democratic Congress, an opposition party, is preparing to unseat the NPP as leader. Rumors that John Dramani Mahama and the former Minority Leader and Minority Chief Whip are not on good terms have been further dispelled by the involvement of the two influential legislators in the campaign activities, which highlights the growing unity within the party. Because of their combined invaluable knowledge, the two will be able to make strategic decisions that will benefit the team as a whole.
