Leading Mauritius official Patrice Milazar has been named by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the much-awaited 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Ghana and Sudan.

On Friday, October 11, 2024, the game is slated to take place in the Accra Sports Stadium. Kickoff is planned for 16:00 GMT.

The 38-year-old Milazar will have assistance from a group of officials, which includes Assistant I Souru Phatsoane of Lesotho and Assistant II Jean-Marc Jeff Pithia of Mauritius. The Fourth Referee will be Mauritius native Ganesh Chutooree.

Sekou Wieh Konneh, a Liberian, has been named the Match Commissioner in addition to the officials on the field.

Bechir Hassani of Tunisia will serve as the match's referee assessor, and Okey Sylvanus Sylvanus Obi of Nigeria will serve as the security officer.

For both sides, this match on matchday three is vital as they fight for a higher spot in the qualifying round.

Ghana is under pressure to defeat Sudan, a team captained by former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, at home after taking just one point from their opening two games.

Former Dreams FC striker Zuberu Sharani has a moment with Erling Haaland after the UCL match.

Following Slovan Bratislava's match against the English champions in the UEFA Champions League, Ghanaian forward Zuberu Sharan got to know his favorite striker, Erling Haaland.

After entering the game in the second half of the Slovakian club's 4-0 loss to the 2023 victors, Sharani made his competitive debut.

After the game at Tehelne Pole, the former Ghana U20 striker took advantage of the opportunity to meet the forward, whom he had watched from a distance.

In addition to goals from Phil Foden, James McAtee, and Ilkay Gundogan, Haaland helped Man City win their first match under the new UEFA Champions League format.

Meanwhile, following losses to Manchester City and Celtic, Slovan Bratislava has yet to earn a point in the campaign. The league leaders from Slovakia will next play Girona in the European tournament.

Sharani has only made three league appearances this year, and he has not yet scored a goal.

After making one appearance in the Cup competition, he does, however, have a goal in the Slovnaft Cup.
