Following Medeama SC's exclusion from the Asante Kotoko SC combined team for their Capital City Africa Cup matchup against DC United, Kotoko has changed its approach.

To bolster their team for the highly anticipated match, they are currently seeking to sign Ghanaian players who are based in the United States.

This action follows opposition from Kotoko supporters that caused Medeama's original intention to provide players legal US visas to fail.

There is an urgent need for reinforcements since Kotoko is having logistical difficulties, particularly in light of their visa problems.

In order to cover Medeama's absence and keep a competitive edge against DC United, a Major League Soccer (MLS) team, they are looking for Ghanaian players who are based in the United States.

According to several football experts and supporters, Kotoko's choice to assemble a team of mercenaries for the forthcoming match is incredibly unprofessional.

The game continues to be an important component of the 2024 Ghana Week DC festivities, showcasing Ghanaian football talent and culture on a worldwide scale.

As Kotoko represents Ghanaian football on the world front, their capacity to swiftly adjust to these obstacles will be crucial.

Kotoko is still committed to putting out a good team for the eagerly awaited match in spite of the challenges.

Kurt Okraku, the Ghana FA's manager, exhorts the Black Stars to play with aggression and determination against Sudan.

The honeymoon phase for the Black Stars has ended, according to Ghana FA manager Kurt Okraku, who has asked for greater aggression and drive from the team.

After a poor start to the qualifiers, Okraku challenged the players to defeat Sudan this month to resurrect their prospects of making it to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

At the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ghana lost 1-0 to Angola, snapping their 24-year winning streak. In the first match of the qualifiers, they then drew with Niger in Morocco.

"Why has it come to this point where we are in greater need of these two games than ever before? Why? Within this group? Ghana? Not a chance. Remember that someone has played before you; now is your turn to play, and someone else will follow. Someone is ready to play if you don't seize the chance. I sincerely hope that today will be the last time I come before you all to speak to your consciences as well as your emotions. It is imperative to revive the Black Stars' unwavering spirit of combat," Okraku emphasized.

Accra Sports Stadium, which CAF has approved late, will host the opening game against Sudan on Thursday. The return leg will take place in Libya on Monday.
