BALLON D’OR 2024: FRANCE FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES FINAL THREE MAN SHORTLIST FOR THE INDIVIDUAL AWARD.

The France Football Magazine has officially announced the final three-man shortlist for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.

The initial thirty-man shortlist has been reduced to a three-man list ahead of the final showpiece on the 20th of October, 2024.

 

 

 

The 30-man nominees for the individual award made the prestigious list due to their incredible performances for their respective clubs and countries.

 

 

 

According to TuttoSport, let's take a look at the final three-man shortlist for the Ballon d'Or 2024 Award.

1. JUDE BELLINGHAM: The England and Real Madrid playmaker Jude Bellingham was shortlisted due to his impressive performance for this club and the National Team.

In the 2023/2024 season, the 21-year-old midfielder won the UEFA Champions League, Spanish La Liga, Spanish Super Cup, and UEFA Super Cup titles.

 

 

 

2. VINICIUS JUNIOR: The Brazilian and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior was one of the standout players for both club and country.

In the 2023/2024 season, the 24-year-old superstar won the UEFA Champions League, Spanish La Liga, Spanish Super Cup, and UEFA Super Cup titles.

 

 

 

2. RODRI: The Spanish and Manchester City midfielder was one of the most instrumental players for both club and country.

In the 2023/2024 season, the 28-year-old midfielder won the English Premier League title, Community Shield, FIFA Club World Cup and European Championship.

On 22 May 2024, he scored his first career hat-trick, in the Europa League final at the Dublin Arena, as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3–0 to win the trophy for the first time in the club's history; in addition, he became the first player to score a hat-trick in a one-legged Men's European final since Pierino Prati in 1969.

On 4 September 2024, Lookman became the first current Atalanta player to be nominated for Ballon d'Or due to his performances in Nigeria's build up to 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final as well as Atalanta's triumph in the 2023–24 UEFA Europa League.
