When Asante Kotoko plays FC Samartex this weekend, head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has acknowledged that his squad will be up against a formidable opponent.

On Sunday, October 20, the Porcupine Warriors and the reigning league champions will square off.

Asante Kotoko will need to perform at their highest level in order to have any chance of winning, according to Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, ahead of the matchup in Week 7.

He is concerned about FC Samartex's potential threat, particularly given the team's organizational structure.

"Samartex is a really good side, in my opinion. aside from structure. They have a structure and a style, as you can tell from their placement on the pitch. "They are a good team," Asante Kotoko's coach remarked.

Coach Prosper Ogum went on, "We simply need to have self-assurance, determination, and composure. We're playing at home. We will have the support of others. The players must think it is possible. The Kotoko coach stated, "We are confident, and I think we can get the job done."

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Asante Kotoko and FC Samartex will play their encounter at Len Clay Sports Stadium.

Wilson Arthur says, "Build Black Stars around dedicated athletes." Ghana Football Association

After the Black Stars' poor performance in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, Skyy FC President and Owner Wilson Arthur has called for the team to be reorganized around dedicated players.

Following the team's lackluster performance against Sudan, which severely threatened their prospects of qualifying, Arthur made these remarks.

Coach Otto Addo's Black Stars were looking to recover from their opening Group F games, which included a 1-0 loss to Angola and a 1-1 tie with Niger.

Sudan, however, held them to a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg, and they lost 2-0 in the second leg.

The team's chances of earning a ticket to the AFCON tournament in Morocco next year are now dubious due to these results.

Wilson Arthur, who is also the Chairman of the FA Cup Committee, addressed the team's difficulties by stressing the need to assemble a team consisting of players who are committed to the national team.

"We must select truly dedicated players. He told Citi Sports, "Believe me, I think this Sudanese squad, Dreams FC, Medeama, and even Samartex can defeat this team."

In an attempt to increase their prospects of making it to the AFCON competition, the Black Stars will reassemble for their last Group F matches against Angola and Niger next month.
