Charles Taylor, a former forward for Asante Kotoko, has stated that he thinks the team has a stronger sporting reputation than the Black Stars.
In contrast to the Black Stars, who only play sometimes, Taylor contended that Kotoko's players are more active and fit since they play games every week.
According to him, Kotoko players have an advantage over their national team colleagues in terms of fitness and preparedness because of their regular play.
Taylor claims that adding more players from the local area will increase team rivalry and motivate players from other countries to perform better.
"I am confident that local players would perform well for the nation if we give them the opportunity. A player like Justice Blay is unfit to play for Asante Kotoko if he is unable to play for the Black Stars. He told Angel TV, "This is because Kotoko is bigger than Black Stars."
"Kotoko plays virtually every weekend, thus their players are better and more fit than the Black Stars players, who play games infrequently." What percentage of our Black Stars players begin playing for their teams regularly?
Although some members of the CHAN squad can perform well for the Black Stars, people frequently complain about their failure to qualify for the CHAN. The team should be competitive," he continued.
