Antonio Conte’s return to the San Siro to face Inter Milan with Napoli is the feature presentation of Match 12 of the 2024-25 Serie A season.
There is no better place to get your season-long ticket to the best football the world has to offer than DStv!
Inter Milan will host Napoli in the late evening kick-off on Sunday 10 November, with this match lining up as the Scudetto holders hosting one of their rising challengers – with the added spice of Conte, who led the Nerazzurri to the title in 2020-21, looking to put a major dent in the ambitions of his former club.
“My history with the [opponent] will of course be written about by the press, but really my focus is always on preparing my team to be in the best position to win,” said Conte, in an attempt to play down the narrative of his return. “What will matter is what happens on the field, between the players.”
The round gets going on Thursday 7 November, with a clash between Genoa and Como at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium, while Friday features two matches which could have major implications for the order in the bottom third of the log, as Venezia and Lecce host Parma and Empoli respectively.
Saturday is headlined by the Turin derby – also known as the ‘Derby della Mole’ – between Juventus and Torino at the Allianz Stadium. Il Toro have not won a match in this rivalry since way back in 2015, with manager Paolo Vanoli urging his team to “roll up their sleeves” in anticipation of a tough battle.
“We need to believe more in what we do,” he explained. “This doesn’t have to happen any more, we must believe in our work. Let’s roll up our sleeves and go back to work, stronger than before.”
Sunday, aside from the Inter v Napoli clash, also features Atalanta at home to Udinese, Lazio will chase a win away to Monza, and Roma will welcome Bologna to the Stadio Olimpico in ‘The Eternal City’.
