The action began on Friday as Hearts of Oak edged out Vision FC with a single goal by Mawuli Wayo, securing a narrow win.
At the Tuba AstroTurf, Dreams FC earned their first victory of the season with a 1-0 triumph over Medeama SC, thanks to Joseph Esso’s successful penalty kick.
Sunday’s matches saw Nations FC continue their strong form, defeating Nsoatreman FC 3-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. Bi Boris Djangone opened the scoring in the 1st minute, followed by a quick brace from Faisal Charwetey in the 3rd and 10th minutes.
Bechem United added to Asante Kotoko’s challenges with a 1-0 victory at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, where Kofi Tompuo’s impressive volley in the 28th minute proved to be the match-winner.
Basake Holy Stars overcame Accra Lions with a last-minute 2-1 win at Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium. Salman Faris Tahiru initially put Accra Lions ahead in the 33rd minute, but Prince Tweneboah equalized in the 62nd minute, and Holy Stars clinched the victory with a 93rd-minute goal.
Other notable matches included a goalless draw for Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium and Heart of Lions’ 1-0 home win over Berekum Chelsea, courtesy of Christian Agyenim Boateng’s 41st-minute goal.
Aduana FC defeated Karela United 1-0 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa, with Gideon Boateng scoring just before halftime, while FC Samartex beat Legon Cities 1-0 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
After Matchday 10, Bibiani GoldStars, Nations FC, FC Samartex, and Heart of Lions occupy the top four league positions, while Accra Lions, Dreams FC, and Legon Cities find themselves in the relegation zone.
