Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay, known for her philanthropic efforts, brought hope and joy to the students and staff of Manhean M/A Basic School in the Eastern Region during the 2024 celebration of World Children’s Day. Through her foundation, the *“Vivian”* hitmaker provided much-needed supplies and infrastructure improvements to enhance the school’s learning environment.

Wendy Shay donated over 100 school uniforms and 1,000 exercise books, alongside essential stationery such as erasers, pencils, sharpeners, rulers, and pens. These items aim to address the basic educational needs of the students, ensuring they have the tools necessary for their academic progress.
To make classrooms more engaging, she provided four white marker boards, two graphic boards, 30 packs of whiteboard markers, and alphabet and number charts. These resources are expected to make lessons more interactive and enjoyable for the students and their teachers.

Understanding the importance of a conducive learning environment, Wendy Shay also addressed physical infrastructure needs. She installed ten ceiling fans to improve classroom ventilation, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for both students and teachers.
Additionally, her foundation tackled the school’s safety concerns by supplying 26 bags of cement and a truckload of sand to repair cracked classroom floors. This effort reinforces the structural integrity of the classrooms, ensuring the students’ safety.
The musician also contributed six plastic chairs to increase seating capacity, reflecting her attention to even the smallest details in meeting the school’s needs.
