We Are Winning Both Parliamentary and Presidential - Bawumia Declares
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed confidence that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will secure both the parliamentary and presidential elections in 2024. Speaking at a recent campaign rally, Bawumia emphasized that the NPP has the track record and leadership to win the hearts of Ghanaians and continue the country’s progress.
“We are winning both the presidential and parliamentary elections. We are confident of victory in 2024 because of the work we’ve done for the people of Ghana. From the Free SHS initiative to digital transformation, infrastructure development, and economic growth, we have delivered on our promises,” Bawumia declared to a cheering crowd.
He further pointed to the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration, citing improvements in the education sector, healthcare, and the agriculture industry. Bawumia also highlighted the government’s investment in infrastructure, such as the construction of roads, bridges, and the expansion of the electricity grid, which have helped improve living standards across the country.
The Vice President also addressed the opposition, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC), dismissing their claims of mismanagement under the current government. Bawumia argued that the NPP had successfully navigated global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and rising inflation, and managed to stabilize the economy.
With just months to go before the general elections, Bawumia’s declaration signals the NPP’s resolve to retain power. He called on Ghanaians to vote for continuity, urging them to trust the party’s vision for a prosperous future. "The NPP is the party that has the ideas and the people to continue building the Ghana we all want," Bawumia said, reiterating his call for voters to maintain their support for the party in both parliamentary and presidential races.
As the election draws near, the political landscape remains competitive, with both the NPP and NDC positioning themselves to win key seats and the presidency.
