Eugene Theodore Torngmortey Zuta, widely known as Eugene Zuta, is a celebrated Ghanaian gospel artist whose music ministry has inspired countless individuals in Ghana and beyond. Born and raised in Dansoman, Accra, Zuta discovered his passion for music at a young age and began honing his talents in local church choirs, including the Trinity Presbyterian Church and Mount Olivet Methodist Church.
Career Highlights
Zuta rose to prominence with his heartfelt worship music, including the hit song Wo So (“You are Great”), which celebrates the greatness of God. His music emphasizes the centrality of Christ and serves as a medium to encourage faith and transformation. Over the years, he has released albums such as Woye Onyame (You are God) and Adoration, earning him a devoted following.
As a student, Zuta was the music director of Echoes of Calvary at the University of Cape Coast, where he showcased his songwriting skills, contributing to the album Calvary Nnwom. In 2012, Eugene Zuta founded Eugene Zuta Ministries, focusing on addressing the spiritual, physical, and mental needs of young people. One of the ministry’s flagship events is the annual Adorationworship program, which brings together families, churches, and communities to worship and reflect on God’s greatness.
Zuta has also used his platform to champion social causes. In 2023, he launched an album titled God Is, aimed at raising awareness and funds to combat child trafficking in Ghana. This project highlighted his commitment to leveraging music for societal impact, particularly in addressing pressing issues like child slavery along Volta Lake.
