Sporting director of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and also head coach of the Sudanese national team coach James Akwasi Appiah has spoken about the two Sudanese nationals who refused to come back to Ghana after the went to the United States with the club for the DC Ghana week celebrations. Below are a few of the things he told Asempa FM who are based in Accra, and that he even lost interest in bringing more of them into the country.
"The truth is, because of the two players who ran away from Asante Kotoko's camp, I am not willing to bring any Sudanese players to Ghana,"
“The Sudan captain has expressed his wish to play for Asante Kotoko one day, but for now, I am not interested in bringing any Sudanese player to Ghana,” he added.

"You see, if the supporters trust my comeback, they should come near me because I need the supporters, I like and I love you [supporters] too much, I get good relationship with you anytime I come here and it is the supporters who called for my comeback. I understand the team is down I will tell the supporters that if we can get up and possible go up, the management, staff and players, and I will tell the supporters to come in and help the team in the next 3 games, then I will get time to take the report to see if I will need another good player to help me, maybe I will work with these players but these 3 games need us together to fix the problem Aduana have."Coach, Mourinho describes himself as the special one, some others are results oriented, some go with high pressing.
