According to Dreams FC strategist Abdul Karim Zito, his team's loss in the Ghana Premier League was due to their players' reverence for Asante Kotoko.
On Sunday, matchday 14 of the premier flight, the Still Believe boys lost 2-1 to the Porcupine Warriors at the Tuba Astro Turf.
Two goals in the 40th and 43rd minutes gave Kotoko a decisive 2-0 advantage. The game finished 2-1 for the visitors, although Dreams FC was able to rally in the second half.
After the game, Zito claimed that his team's loss was due to treating Kotoko with respect during the fiercely competitive match.
"My players treated Kotoko with deference. Things changed after I spoke with them after the first half. We had opportunities, but I find it incomprehensible that my guys were unable to shoot," he remarked.
Dreams FC is now in the relegation zone after struggling to find its rhythm in the current campaign. The Still Believe boys are in 17th place in the Ghana Premier League standings with 12 points.
Conversely, Asante Kotoko has 24 points from 14 games thus far, which is which is good for fifth place on the table.

Improve the Black Stars' technical staff, says Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire
Dr. Richard Duah Nsenkyire, the owner and financier of FC Samartex, has demanded that the Black Stars' senior national team's technical staff do better.
After failing to lead the squad to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition, the Black Stars' coaching staff has come under intense criticism.
The Black Stars finished at the bottom of Group F with three points after six games, recording three draws and three losses.
Next year, the 2026 World Cup qualifications will resume, and Dr. Nsenkyire thinks the technical staff needs to help.
"We must do it if the Black Stars technical team can progress," he stated to Asempa FM.
He continued that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should hire a technical director to assist the technical team throughout the World Cup qualifications. "We have utilized the same personnel throughout the AFCON qualifiers and they have failed, so I believe they must be upgraded," he said.
In March 2025, Ghana will play Matchdays five and six against Chad and Madagascar.
