On Monday, February 17, 2025, Hearts of Oak SC and Asante Kotoko will meet with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to talk about the clubs' unfinished business.

Through the recently unveiled Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocol 2025, which has been distributed to all Premier League clubs and stakeholders, the GFA has already addressed every safety and security-related issue brought up in the recommendations.

Regarding the Autonomous Premier League, the Association reiterated that the league, which was started by the Executive Council and GFA President Kurt Okraku, has been legally established as a corporation in Ghana.

His Majesty Togbe Afede XIV, who chairs the Implementation Committee, has also opened bank accounts for the business.

Since directors chosen by each of the 18 clubs will serve as Implementation Committee members, the GFA has essentially transferred the operation of the league to the Premier League clubs.

The clubs must now submit their board representatives to serve on the Autonomous Premier League Limited's board.

The GFA is eager to continue its conversations with Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko and is still dedicated to seeing the Autonomous League come to fruition.

The Association also intends to convene another meeting with all Premier League clubs next week to discuss the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols and other important matters related to the Ghana Premier League.
