Takyi Arhin, the general manager of Aduana Stars, has harshly resented Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak for their demands for automatic seats on the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Executive Council.

Following Francis Frimpong's death at Nsoatre, the nation's two most prosperous clubs together issued a statement calling for reforms, including seats on the Executive Council.

Speaking in an interview, the seasoned football executive countered that Kotoko and Hearts are just like other Ghana Premier League (GPL) teams and do not need special treatment.

In a Pure FM tape, Arhin said, "We are not rationalizing what happened in Nsoatre, we condemn it, and we mourn with the family."

"But since you are the most glitzy clubs, do not utilize this tragedy to seek an Exco spot." It is not here or there, that debate. They are similar to every other club in the nation.

He also made fun of both teams, saying they are no longer considered football powerhouses.

"You can count the number of spectators in the stadium in three minutes if Kotoko is playing today. Hearts of Oak is no different. The budgeting tools we once used, Kotoko and Hearts, are no longer in use.

Arhin implied that the two clubs' power has diminished by questioning their hegemony over the last ten years.

He said, "How many league titles have Kotoko and Hearts won in the last ten years?"

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a statement regarding improved safety procedures at the stadiums in the wake of Pooley's passing.

As Mantova holds Palermo, Davis Mensah scores.

In Round 26 of Serie B, Mantova rallied to draw 2-2 with Palermo at Stadio Renzo Barbera thanks to a goal by Italian-Ghanaian forward Davis Mensah.

Valerio Verre's incredible right-footed attempt from outside the box curled into the top corner to give Palermo the lead in the 26th minute. However, Mantova came roaring back right after halftime. Mensah equalized the score with a right-footed shot into the bottom corner seconds into the second half after Federico Artioli slipped a precise through ball to him.

In the 57th minute, Fabrizio Brignani nodded in a perfectly placed Salvatore Burrai corner to give the visitors the lead. However, Mantova's lead did not last long. Joel Pohjanpalo coolly converted Palermo's penalty in the 68th minute after the team committed a defensive blunder.

Pietro Ceccaroni's belligerent behavior sent Palermo down to 10 men a minute later, but Mantova was unable to take advantage of the situation.

Another draw increased the sides' record of stalemates since neither team has ever won in their head-to-head record.
