Rex Omar Engages Ashanti Regional Minister on National Theatre Project in Kumasi
Renowned musician and coordinator of the Black Star Experience, Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar, has taken a significant step toward the realization of a National Theatre in Kumasi. On March 7, 2025, he met with the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, to discuss the allocation of suitable land for the project. This initiative aligns with a promise made by former President John Dramani Mahama in his 2024 Creative Manifesto, which aims to decentralize Ghana’s arts and culture sector.
