Wajir MCA Yussuf Ahmed Reveals Where Abductees Were Locked

Wajir Member of County Assembly (MCA) Yussuf Ahmed Tolfiyow has broken his silence after surviving a harrowing six-month abduction. Yussuf, who mysteriously vanished on September 13, 2024, has revealed disturbing details about his captivity and the fate of other missing individuals, including the Kitengela three.

According to his family, Yussuf endured mental and physical torment in a secret location. “He could hear screams from the next room, especially from Bob Njagi, one of the Kitengela three,” a relative disclosed. For the first two months, he was held in Nairobi before being transferred to another undisclosed location, where conditions were dire.

Yussuf was unexpectedly freed after six months. "They dropped me at Pangani shopping center, handed me Ksh 5,000, and warned me not to look back," he recounted. By 11:00 p.m., he arrived at his Eastleigh home, where his family received him with relief and disbelief.

His return has sparked an outcry. Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi described the past six months as "agonizing," while Eldas MP Adan Keynan strongly condemned the abduction, calling for urgent investigations into enforced disappearances.

Bob Njagi, speaking on the JKL Show on February 10, 2025, confirmed Yussuf was detained in the same facility as the Kitengela three. The circumstances surrounding his abduction and release remain unclear, fueling speculation about the involvement of powerful forces.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the growing cases of enforced disappearances in Kenya. Human rights activists and political leaders are now demanding accountability from security agencies. As investigations continue, many unanswered questions linger about the individuals behind these abductions and the fate of those still missing.

This chilling ordeal highlights the alarming trend of enforced disappearances in Kenya, raising urgent questions about the actors behind such abductions and the impunity surrounding them. Yussuf Ahmed’s revelations provide a rare glimpse into the hidden fate of many missing individuals, but his release alone does not bring closure. With mounting pressure on authorities to act, Kenyans are demanding justice, accountability, and the protection of fundamental human rights to ensure that no one else suffers a similar fate in silence.
