"UEL CLASH VS LYON: ONANA IN, BAYANDIR OUT – LORD HELP MANCHESTER UNITED"

After watching beautiful football today, I now have to return to my toxic relationship with Manchester United tomorrow. May God help me.

After a Premier League debut to forget, Altay Bayındır is expected to be dropped from the starting lineup in favor of first-choice goalkeeper André Onana for the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final clash against Lyon.

Onana was dropped from the squad for the Newcastle game in favor of Bayındır. However, Bayındır’s debut didn’t go as planned—he conceded four goals, including one gifted through a personal error.

Now, United will be hoping Onana can stay focused for this crucial clash against Lyon, especially since progressing to the semi-finals is key to their hopes of Champions League qualification. Sitting just three points above the relegation zone, winning the Europa League might be their only lifeline. A trophy and Champions League football would also be essential in attracting top talent, as new manager Anorim plans a major squad rebuild this summer.

To make matters worse, the club has suffered another injury blow—Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly out for the rest of the season. While he may not be the best attacker in the world, he’s still United’s most reliable striker—at least until the summer window. He even scored against Lyon, only for Onana and Dorgu to play ping-pong in the box and hand the equalizer back with a bow on top.

Now, without Zirkzee, we turn to Alejandro Garnacho. The lad has energy, flair, and TikTok skills—we just hope he can channel that into one 90-minute masterclass instead of freestyle dribbling in circles.

And above all, if not for the fans, do it for the captain—Bruno Fernandes. The man is carrying this team like it’s his part-time job. He has so much talent and, despite United's struggles, has remained loyal. It would be a shame if he misses out on Champions League football next season.

Manchester United—please, just this once, don’t embarrass us.
