Former U.S. President Kennedy’s Assassination: 10,000 Pages of Records Released
This move was part of a national security disclosure order issued by President Donald Trump.
Nearly 10,000 pages of records related to the assassination of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy have been released. This action was taken under the directive of President Donald Trump, as part of a broader effort to disclose national secrets. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration has posted approximately 229 files, consisting of these pages, on its public website.
Many files related to Senator Kennedy's assassination had already been released in the past, but others had not been digitized and remained in federal storage facilities for decades.
Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, stated in a statement that nearly 60 years after the tragic assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, the American public, for the first time under President Trump's leadership, will have the opportunity to view the federal government's investigation. Gabbard added that the release of these files has finally brought the truth to light.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., son of the late senator and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, said in a statement that the disclosure of his father’s documents is a necessary step toward restoring trust in the U.S. government.
Previously, the Health Secretary expressed his belief that his father was killed by multiple gunmen—a claim that contradicts the official stance. In a related development, the Trump administration also hinted at plans to declassify records related to the assassination of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
Who Helped Oswald in the Kennedy Assassination? Trump Questions
A few days after thousands of documents related to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy were declassified, then-President Donald Trump once again revived the conspiracy theory that has surrounded the case for decades. During an interview with Clay Travis, founder of OutKick Sports, Trump questioned aboard Air Force One whether Lee Harvey Oswald received help in assassinating Kennedy in 1963.
When asked whether he believed Oswald was the killer, Trump replied, “Yes, and I’ve always thought so. But did he get help?”
Over the decades, the Department of Justice and other federal agencies have consistently confirmed the conclusion that Oswald was the lone assassin. However, public opinion polls still show that many Americans believe Kennedy’s assassination in Dallas was the result of a conspiracy.
It is noteworthy that just a few days ago, the U.S. government released thousands of digital documents related to the Kennedy assassination. Trump had promised during his previous election campaign to increase transparency on the matter. After taking office, he instructed his aides to prepare a plan to release records not only related to the late president’s brother Robert Kennedy’s 1968 assassination but also that of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
Trump’s Order: Thousands of JFK Assassination Documents Made Public
The U.S. National Archives contains a vast trove of approximately 6 million documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Many of these had already been declassified prior to President Trump’s directive.
President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Thousands of pages related to this historical event and its alleged conspiracy are now available in digital format. Upon beginning his second term, President Trump signed an executive order instructing intelligence agencies and other officials to expedite a plan for the full release of JFK assassination records.
On Monday, President Trump told reporters that 80,000 documents related to Kennedy’s assassination would be released. On Tuesday, the National Archives published 2,182 PDFs, comprising around 63,400 documents.
However, the National Archives declined to immediately comment on Wednesday regarding whether additional JFK assassination records would be released soon.
It is widely believed that Kennedy was assassinated by a gunman named Harvey Oswald. While the Department of Justice and other federal bodies have reaffirmed this conclusion over the years, surveys continue to show that many Americans still suspect a broader conspiracy.
Now, with these documents available to the public, it becomes possible to re-evaluate existing theories, determining which information previously known is accurate and which is not.
Innocent Moments in the Oval Office: Elon Musk’s Son Evokes Kennedy Junior’s Memory
Little X, son of Elon Musk, bent over the historic Resolute Desk in a way that recalled a famous 1962 photograph of John F. Kennedy Jr. peeking out from underneath the same desk.
Following a press conference in the White House, where Elon Musk’s son was seen with his father and President Donald Trump, social media was abuzz with reactions. Some criticized the child’s playful behavior during the formal event, calling it inappropriate and against protocol, noting that it was not an ideal time for children to be present.
However, this was not the first time a child was spontaneously seen in the Oval Office through the lens of a camera.
Just like “Little X,” as dubbed by American media, stood leaning on the historic Resolute Desk, it mirrored the iconic image of young John F. Kennedy Jr., captured in 1962, peeking out from beneath the same desk.
