Joe Cole, a former Chelsea midfielder, says Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been one of the team's standout performances this season.
Loftus-Cheek, according to Cole, has been Chelsea's best player. After a poor loan spell at Fulham, he believes the midfielder has found his form.
Cole explained to Amazon Prime (via the Metro): "He's been fantastic. When he stayed there, a lot of people raised their heads because it didn't work out for Ruben when he was at Fulham last year. He appeared bored and as though he was injured, but he's been fantastic. He's actually Chelsea's favourite of the bunch. He appears to be in good shape, powerful, and slender."Loftus-Cheek has seized his opportunity at Stamford Bridge, according to the 40-year-old player-turned-pundit, and is one of Chelsea's greatest players this season. He said, " "That is what he [Tuchel] expects. He's started over, saying, "This is what's expected, this is the level." You may either stay on the train with us or get off, because Ruben has jumped on and is currently driving the train."
In Chelsea's 2-1 triumph over Watford on Wednesday, Ruben Loftus-Cheek played the entire 90 minutes. Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech scored to give the Blues another Premier League victory.
After completing the feat against Manchester United, the 25-year-old has now played the entire 90 minutes in back-to-back games. This season, he has two assists in the Premier League.
