Bayern Munich are preparing for the summer departure of winger Kingsley Coman, and could replace him with Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.
Coman's contract is coming to an end in the next 18 months, and he has yet to reach an agreement on a new deal, with Bayern unwilling to meet his high demands.
If the impasse persists, Bayern Munich are willing to sell Coman before he becomes a free agent in the summer, and Christian Falk claims that Dembele has emerged as a possible replacement.
Bayern Munich has been interested in Dembele since he broke into the Rennes first team in 2015, and even flew to France to try to strike a deal, but he eventually signed with Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele moved to Barcelona in 2017 after a stellar season at Dortmund. However, things haven't gone as planned in Catalonia, and the 24-year-old is considering leaving on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer, despite Barcelona's desire to keep him.
Barcelona issued an ultimatum to Dembele earlier this month, demanding a decision on his future by December 15, but the winger requested more time to make his final decision, which many at Camp Nou interpreted as a sign he wants to leave.
If Dembele does hit the market, Bayern Munich are prepared to try to sign him for nothing, and we could be in for a nice little merry-go-round here, as Barcelona manager Xavi is a big fan of Coman.
Coman has long been rumored to be one of Xavi's dream targets in Spain, with reports linking the Frenchman to Camp Nou even before Xavi arrived.
Coman may well decide to stay at Bayern, but it will all boil down to the financial incentives available. The France international wants a salary that reflects his role as a regular starter - and goalscorer - under Julian Nagelsmann, but Bayern has yet to make that offer.
Fresh terms have been on the table for some time, and Bayern have made no secret of their desire to keep Coman, but an agreement is not expected to be reached soon, and the German champions are now weighing their options.
