Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in signing Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie next month.

The Spurs manager, who took over from Nuno Espirito Santo at the start of November, is looking for a flexible midfielder, especially with Dele Alli, Harry Winks, and Tanguy Ndombele's futures up in the air.

Despite the fact that Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri wants to keep McKennie, Italian source Calciomercato claims that the 23-year-old is not necessary and may be offloaded for the right price - around the £25m-£30m figure. According to the source, Juventus paid Schalke a total of £25 million in three years' worth of add-ons to move the USA international to Turin permanently earlier this year.

McKennie, who has also been connected with Leeds United, has been used frequently by Allegri this season, with 18 appearances in central midfield and on the right side of midfield.

McKennie is also under contract with the Allianz Stadium until 2025.

The midfielder, who has made 64 appearances for the Old Lady and scored eight goals, won the Coppa Italia last season and will also compete in the 2020 Italian Super Cup.

Conte, meantime, has urged for the Carabao Cup semi-finals to be reduced to one leg after his side advanced to the last four by defeating West Ham on Wednesday.

When asked about the semis, Conte replied, 'Honestly, if I had to choose, maybe I would play one game instead of two games.' 'Especially in our current scenario.' However, we must adhere to the guidelines.'

'Many guys that played had Covid,' added Conte, who made all five of his substitutions in the second half. The tension of the game lessened at one point throughout the game, so I made the substitutions. 'It was fantastic not to concede a goal and to reach the semi-final, but I know we had to manage this position, as well as the games against Crystal Palace on Sunday and Southampton on Tuesday.'
